What Klein homes change about a La Cornue repair
Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach La Cornue diagnostics here.
A broad area defined by Klein ISD
The area is unincorporated and follows the Klein ISD boundary, roughly SH 249, I-45 and the Grand Parkway. Most of the 200,000 or so residents live in single-family subdivisions, and David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport is a local landmark.
With no city line, a street name alone may not tell us which of the area's ZIP codes you are in, so we ask for both. Give us the street and ZIP, and tell us the fuel the range uses.
Cypress Creek and the Harvey rain
Cypress Creek crosses southern Klein. Harvey in 2017 dropped about 30 inches of rain along parts of the creek, far more than the 2016 Tax Day flood, and county buyouts there have continued.
A range in a home along the banks that took water should stay off until it has been inspected, since corroded valves and wiring can fail later. Tell us if water reached the kitchen, and we check valves and wiring before any test burn.
Klein covers the whole of Klein ISD north of Houston, so one booking can span five ZIP codes. Most homes are in single-family subdivisions with gates or association rules. Send the street, the ZIP, the gate details and the model label photo.
Flooding along Cypress Creek makes a flood history the first question for any range that lights poorly. We read the flame, check valves and wiring, and measure the oven against its dial, because a mechanical La Cornue shows no code. Call your gas supplier first if you smell gas, and an electrician if breakers keep tripping.

My street is in Klein but my mail says Houston. Do you come?
Yes. Give us the street and ZIP and we book it.
My range took water in Harvey. Can I keep using it?
Not until we inspect it. Valves, ignition and wiring can fail later even if the range lights now.
Why do you ask for my ZIP code?
Klein spans several ZIPs and no single city, so the street and ZIP together tell us exactly where to go.
