CornuFé 90 (dual-fuel)
La Cornue CornuFé 90 Dual-Fuel Range Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Whether the 110-liter oven reaches temperature and holds it
- Each gas burner lighting, and any that light then drop out
- Door seal stiffness and how the door closes
The CornuFé 90 dual-fuel is where La Cornue’s CornuFé range begins. It has a single vaulted oven of 110 liters, roomy enough for a large roast or two dishes side by side, with a gas burner hob on top. Dual-fuel means gas and electric heat share the range, so the hob and the oven are tested with different methods.
Nothing is displayed and no code will appear. On the hob we light each burner and judge the flame, check gas pressure and watch for a burner that lights and then dies, which sends us to its ignition and flame-safety device. In the oven, a thermometer reading is compared with the thermostat setting, with attention to whether the large cavity reaches temperature and then holds it.
A stiff or hardened door seal is the usual other check, because it lets heat out and stops the door closing flush. We read model and serial from the label before ordering parts, and you approve a written price before any work.

What does dual-fuel mean on this range?
Gas and electric heat share the range. We test the two sides separately: flame, gas pressure and ignition on the hob, and thermometer readings against the dial in the oven.
A burner lights and then goes out. What do we check?
The ignition and flame-safety device on that burner, the ports for blockage and the gas flow to that position. A burner that drops out usually points to the safety sensing.
Does the door seal really matter?
Yes. A hardened seal or a door that does not close flush lets heat escape, which can make a large oven slow to heat or uneven. We inspect both seal and door fit.
