An open flame, a turning spit and a signature La Cornue look: the Flamberge Rôtisserie is a module in the Château cooktop line that roasts meat, poultry, fish, or whole fruit and vegetables over gas heat. It is sold either as part of a range hob or as a module of its own. Two systems have to cooperate, a gas flame and a motor that turns the spit.
We test them separately. On the gas side, we light the burner, judge the flame, measure gas pressure and examine the ignition and flame-safety device if the flame lights and then drops out. For the spit, we see whether the motor turns at all and whether it turns evenly or hesitates under load. The module is mechanical, so there is no display and no code.
Basket and spit fittings get a look, since worn parts can keep the spit from seating securely. Model and serial come from the label before we order parts, and a written price comes before work.

The spit does not turn. What do we check?
Whether the motor receives power and turns without load, then with the spit in place. A spit that turns unevenly points to the motor or the drive, or to worn fittings.
The flame will not stay steady under the rotisserie. Why?
We test the burner's flame, ports and gas pressure, along with the ignition and flame-safety device. A flame that lights and goes out often points to the safety sensing.
Can you service it if it was bought as a separate module?
Yes. It is sold with a range hob or alone, and we test the flame and spit motor either way, then confirm the model and serial from the label.
